Brunswick Heads Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce was established in 1997 and incorporated in 1998.

With a consistent membership base of between 60 and 70 businesses, the Chamber takes a pro-active role in many town projects and events, providing leadership and resources. By working closely and co-operatively with the Byron Shire Council staff and councillors, the Chamber has been instrumental in dealing with many issues of concern to both businesses and residents.

The Chamber also has an excellent working relationship with the Department of State and Regional Development (DSRD), who have supported the towns economic revitalisation program with grant funding for events, projects, strategic plans and surveys and most recently the “Simple Pleasures” campaign.

The Chamber works in partnership with other community organisations such as the Progress Association on projects, workshops, events and fundraisers.

The Chamber of Commerce currently has 70 financial members and welcomes new members at any time.
