Brunswick Heads hosts the 10th Old and Gold Festival and invites visitors to stay for the Queen's birthday long weekend and enjoy the celebrations.
The town will came alive with activities in the theme, with 6,000-7,000 people enjoying:
- All Town Garage Sale 8-2 - with about 50 participating households and large community group garage sales
- Secondhand & Collectables Fair - approx 25 indoor stalls in the Memorial Hall
- Ye Old Church Fair stalls
- Bric-a Brac Fair at the Brunswick Primary School
- Trail of Brunswick's 8 secondhand outlets
- Clearance sales - up to 50% off selected items in town shops
- Recycling demonstrations, displays and activities - the "Greenhouse" & Mobile Muster.
- Historical displays, talks and walk
- Collections on display - restored bikes and trikes, bren gun carrier tank, petrol & garage memorabilia
- Quilt making demonstrations using recycled materials
- Kids entertainment - free face painting, free Funky Junk kid's craft activities using recycled materials,
- Music & fine food
- The Australian Singles Marbles Championships
- Pavement chalk art
- Hopscotch
- Bush furniture woodworking demonstrations
