Heritage Park breakfast and registration
From 8am onwards berfore or after you register, you will be able to tuck into a hearty breakfast of bacon and egg rolls courtesy of the Brunswick Valley Lions Club. Hot coffee will also be on sale with a percentage of the proceeds going to the Brunswick Surf Lifesaving Club.
Open to all ages and standards. Join in the 10km paddle down the beautiful Brunswick River. There will be safety craft and water stations all the way down the river. Launch at Heritage Park, Mullumbimby and finish between the bridges in Simpsons Ck. Exit at the Scout Hall.
Registration and start: 8am - 9.30am
As we are expecting a lot of entries this year, craft will be launched into the river in small groups as registrations are completed. No parking is permitted at heritage Park. It is a drop off zone only. There is plenty of parking in the streets further on within easy walking distance.
Enter the 10km challenge from Mullum to Bruns from Heritage Park, Mullumbimby, to Brunswick Heads, between the bridges in Simpsons Creek. Exit at the Scout Hall. Kakyak minding is available and a free shuttle bus will take you back to your car at Mullmbimby.
Registrations: from 8am Start: 10am
Last year's winner, Kurt Tutt, completed the race in 45 minutes.
Join the 10km SUP Challenge sponsored by Print Rescue, from Heritage Park, Mullumbimby, to the finish line at Brunswick Heads, between the bridges in Simpson's Creek. Register anytime from 8am. The start is at 9.30am.
Tony Carsburg Holden Board Challenges
A short 2km series of challenges sponsored by Tony Carsburg Holden will take off from Ferry Reserve Holiday Park in several divisions. The challenges are open to all ages! The starting point is at the boat ramp in the Ferry Reserve Holiday Park reached via Riverside Crescent at the Northern Brunswick Heads round about.
Registration is 8.30am, with races commencing at 9.30am.
Paddle board divisions
- 8-10yrs under 2m paddle board
- 11-13yrs under 2m paddle board
- 14-17yrs 9 feet paddle board
- Open 9 feet paddle board
- Open short board under 8ft
- Open longboard 8ft and above
From 9am - 3pm activities will be conducted in Terrace Park, by the river. Activities will include free kayaking lessons for all ages and free SUP lessons, both from 10am-3pm. There will be an assortments of kayaks and stand up paddle boards on display with experts on hand to advise you of the most suitable for your needs.
