Things to do in Brunswick Heads
Brunswick's Simple Pleasures - 101 things to do
Brunswick Heads offers a great range of simple pleasures activities all year round to visitors and locals of all ages. The laid-back coastal seaside village is well set up for families to enjoy an affordable holiday or for the nature lover to appreciate the natural environment. Brunswick Heads also hosts a number of small-scale community eco-family friendly festivals and events throughout the year.
The most popular activities are those related to the water - river and beach activities such as surfing, yabbying, swimming, fishing, boating & kayaking. Brunswick Heads is a great place for whale watching and dolphins can be sighted regularly from the breakwall. Bike riding, walking, bird watching and other nature based activities can also be enjoyed. There is no late night entertainment in Brunswick Heads, other than the free music at the local family-friendly pub, which closes well before midnight. However, Byron Bay, which is only 15 minutes away, has an assortment of night life.
Tours and activities, festivals and markets abound Brunswick Heads and its neighbouring towns, especially Byron Bay, so Brunswick Heads is a great base to stay to explore the coast and hinterland areas.
Information and maps for many of the activities are contained in the series of brochures produced by the Brunswick Visitor Centre, where they are available. With the exception of the Secondhand Trail, they are updated every year.
