Biking in and around Brunswick
Tour de BrunsBiking around Brunswick
Brunswick is perfectly flat, so cycling around the village is a great way to get around. Pick up a copy of the Biking around Brunswick Pocket Guide from the Brunswick Visitor Centre, 7 Park St.
The one hour Tour de Bruns is highly recommended for families. The map also provides information on biking to Byron Bay along the beach and other hinterland bike rides, as well as the nearest bike shops.
Travel by bike to Byron bay along the highway is not recommended for inexperienced cyclists. The highway has some dangerous sections with very narrow shoulders.
The more adventurous can now take advantage of the improved bikeways from Tweed Heads and the Tweed Coast to Brunswick Heads. Much of the trip, however, still requires cycling on the freeway.
